What is Olefin Cartenza
Olefin Cartenza, also known as polypropylene, is a synthetic fabric that is widely used for garden cushions. The fibers of the Olefin Cartenza Uni fabrics are characterized by their excellent resistance to moisture. The fabrics are also durable, colorfast so that they hardly fade, and suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Because the fabric is finely woven, the cushion provides comfortable seating. Due to the strong fibers in the fabrics, Olefin is highly resistant to wear and tear.
Garden cushion maintenance
Most of the cushions we sell are equipped with a zipper so that the fabric can easily be washed, but this is usually not necessary because Olefin fabrics are easier to clean with a cloth or soft brush in combination with lukewarm water and a dishwashing detergent. Our advice is not to use any bleach. After the cushions have been cleaned, they can be used again almost immediately, as Olefin dries quickly.
Although the Olefin fabric is waterproof, we recommend, for a longer lifespan, bringing the cushions inside or placing them in a dry area during rain and frost.
