Cleaning
After a long, cold, and wet winter, it is usually a good idea to thoroughly scrub and clean your teak garden furniture in preparation for summer.
If your garden set has been treated with a special teak sealer or teak oil, it works best to use a dedicated teak cleaner. This cleaner removes the toughest dirt quickly and effectively.
If your teak garden sets have been left untreated outdoors during winter, a bucket of water with some green soap is sufficient to remove dirt. Use a soft cloth or sponge and let the soap soak in for a few minutes, usually about five. Then rinse the furniture with a garden hose.
Care
Teak furniture can easily be left outside all winter without any protection. Teak naturally contains oils and resins that make it resistant to harsh outdoor conditions such as rain, cold, and wind. In fact, exposure to the elements gives the wood a beautiful silver-grey patina. Many people choose not to treat teak at all and let nature take its course.
If you prefer to keep the original warm wood colour, you can treat the furniture with teak oil. This is an easy way to maintain the natural teak colour.
Garden cushions
The fabric of our special SunProof garden cushions can simply be washed in the washing machine. Let the covers dry on the washing line in the sun and they will look like new again. For small stains, hardly any maintenance is needed. Thanks to the water- and stain-repellent material, marks can be removed easily with a cloth and a little water.
Your garden set is now completely ready for a full summer of relaxing.
